    Summary
    The CT Clinical Lead is responsible for the maintenance and quality of patient care on a continuing basis for CT department and throughout the organization.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    These duties and responsibilities described below represent the general tasks performed onsite on a daily basis; other tasks may be assigned.
    • Establish daily work assignments for technologists
    • Perform visual preventative safety inspections and report dangerous department or equipment conditions to the appropriate personnel
    • Utilize all assigned functions of the Radiology Information Computer System.
    • Develop and maintain an efficient work assignment to minimize patient waiting time and maximize efficiency
    • Participate in the development and evaluation of policies and procedures
    • Periodically review images to ensure good quality and, if necessary, work with the technologist to improve image quality
    • Maintain established department policies, procedures, objectives, and quality improvement programs as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards
    • Perform annual equipment inspections and corrections as dictated by HFAP
    • Coordinate apron/glove inspection as required by JCAHO and Radiation
    • Coordinate Radiologist clinical needs such as: IV infiltrates, Adverse Drug Reactions, codes, and other incident reports as well as any other issues that need resolved
    • Assist in developing CQI Indicators
    • Perform procedures as the schedule requires and rotates call as needed
    • Assist in the interview process with new hires when requested
    • Assist the Radiology Supervisor/Director in monitoring stock levels and order supplies as needed, staying within the established expense budget
    • Assists Radiology Supervisor/Director with the development of specific modality protocols
    Follow ACR Guidelines, maintain ACR Accreditation Standards

    Supervisory Responsibilities
    Reports to: Operations Manager, Radiology — may also be assigned work from Radiologists or the Administrative Director of Radiology
    Supervises: CT Technologists

    Education and Experience
    Minimum Required Education: Successful completion of a Radiologic Technology program
    Preferred Education: Not applicable
    Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience and completion of training in CT is required
    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    Must be ARRT registered, CT registered, and BLS certified upon hire.
