    Description

    Saint Lukes in Kansas City is seeking a BC/BE adult psychiatrist to join a well-established outpatient practice within Saint Lukes Hospital of Kansas City. This hybrid position offers a mix of in-clinic and remote workdays.

    About the position
    The physician will conduct evaluations for psychiatric conditions, substance and alcohol use disorders, social concerns, and related medical issues in both tele-psychiatry and outpatient settings, with a focus on outpatient adult psychiatry care
    Utilize evidence-based treatment approaches, including psychotropic medications and individual therapy
    Outpatient responsibilities include initial and follow-up mental health evaluations, medication management, and care delivered through a team-based model, with 36 hours of direct patient contact per week
    Strong referral base, with an average of 14 scheduled visits per day
    Work alongside a team of five physicians with strong support staff
    Collaborate closely with licensed therapists, psychologists, and neuropsychologists
    1:7 weekend call rotation providing consult services at Saint Lukes Hospital of Kansas City

    Requirements:
    Must hold an active Missouri and Kansas medical license, or be eligible to obtain both
    Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry, with completion (or in progress) of an accredited psychiatry residency program
    Fellowship training or experience in Psychosomatic Medicine or Geriatric Psychiatry desirable
