    Description

    We're Hiring Seasonal Outdoor Recreation & Adventure Facilitator!

    Position Type: Seasonal Part-Time Casual; mornings, afternoons, and evenings

    Scheduling: This is a Part-time (0-20 hours) casual/on-call seasonal position. Hours are based on guest and group bookings and are typically scheduled several days in advance. This is not a traditional day-of on-call position.

    Compensation: $16.90 - $17.25 based on experience

    Lead the Adventure: Guide students through outdoor recreation and experiential learning activities, including canoeing, archery, ropes courses, team-building challenges, stargazing, night walks, and campfires—all while building confidence, leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Facilitate outdoor adventures such as:
      • Canoeing
      • Archery
      • Ropes courses (high/low)
      • Team-building games
    • Guide students through leadership and personal development challenges.
    • Encourage teamwork, confidence, and communication skills.
    • Lead evening programs like:
      • Stargazing
      • Night walks
      • Campfires
    • Ensure proper safety procedures and equipment use.
    • Adapt activities based on group dynamics, weather, and ability levels.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Background in recreation, physical education, youth development, or experiential learning.
    • Certifications in ropes course facilitation, archery, or canoeing (or willingness to be trained on the job).
    • 1+ years experience leading youth in physical or adventure-based settings.
    • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
    • Comfortable with risk management and outdoor leadership.


    Requirements:

    • Passion for working with youth in outdoor environments.
    • Strong communication and group management skills.
    • Positive, flexible, and team-oriented mindset.
    • Ability to work flexible hours
    • Ability to work weekends
    • Physically able to participate in outdoor activities for extended periods.
