    OUSW SENIOR TECHNOLOGY ANALYST

    LOCATION: Washington D.C.

    JOB STATUS: Full-time
    CLEARANCE: Top Secret clearance (SCI eligible) 

    CERTIFICATION: PMP Certification (desired)

    TRAVEL: as needed

     

     

    Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a SENIOR TECHNOLOGY ANALYSTto join our team working to support the Office of the Under Secretary of War (OUSW) in the National Capital Region (NCR), Washington D.C. – Pentagon.  A current Top Secret clearance (SCI eligible) is required.

     

    This position directly supports OUSW in the creation and implementation of accelerated pathways and efforts for emerging technologies to become joint capabilities through defense programs of record.  The Office supported delivers innovative, leap-ahead capabilities to the Services and Joint Force through prototypes, system integration and networking, experimentation, demonstration, and test to accelerate delivery to the Warfighter.  The Program, its Projects and efforts support the National Defense Strategy and the Joint Warfighting Concept; provide a hedge against technical uncertainty by leveraging insights gained through mission-focused efforts; and foster collaboration among government laboratories, academia, commercial research, and innovation institutions.

     

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

    • MA/MS degree (engineering and technical preferred)
    • 15+ years’ experience in action officer or systems acquisition type role, technology systems management, programmatic and financial budget and analytical experience across DOW (DOD) programs, projects, and/or science and technology
    • Current TS clearance (SCI preferred or eligible)

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS  

    • Pentagon Experience (desired)
    • Program/project management and analytics
    • Technology systems prototyping management and assessment and/or system acquisition
    • POM budgeting and financial tracking
    • Record keeping
    • Enterprise management systems applications 
    • Stakeholder, industry, and government program office interface
    • Quick turn support for senior leadership, congressional, or request for information/tasking
    • PMP Certification (desired)
    • Work experience using and applying (developing/shaping) databases, excel spreadsheets, DTIC applications, powerpoint presentations, senior level narrative reporting

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing the following Senior level Analyst and program management execution functions: 

     

    • Execute program and project level strategy, planning, implementation, and tracking to support government management team and daily actions
    • Oversee, guide, and develop program and project budgeting (POM cycle), finances across program and portfolio(s)/projects
    • Coordinate and orchestrate with the technical project leaders, managers, and analyst to maintain situational awareness and information exchange
    • Provide program-level response to tasks, short notice data calls, financial status reporting, and other salient information
    • Apply skillset and knowledgebase in Pentagon support roles to interface with daily operations, industry and stakeholder partners/performers and government action offices
