Position Summary
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This role involves executing treatment plans, supporting patient progress, and contributing to a comprehensive rehabilitative plan of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement treatment programs as established by the Occupational Therapist
- Assist patients in achieving individualized therapy goals
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Communicate effectively with the therapy team and interdisciplinary staff
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards

Requirements
Graduate from an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants program with an Associate’s Degree approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Licensed or certified by the state in which the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant resides or practices according to state requirements, and has received certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT).
