Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced OT Security Consultant to support customers in securing Operational Technology (OT) environments and assisting with secure remote access modernization initiatives. This consultant will play a key role in the design, implementation, and migration of OT security solutions, including support for secure remote access platforms such as Dispel. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA environments, and OT network security, with the ability to deliver practical security solutions that minimize operational disruption.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support OT security solutions for client environments, including network segmentation, monitoring, and access controls specific to industrial and operational systems.
- Deploy and manage secure remote access solutions purpose-built for OT environments, ensuring safe, auditable connectivity for vendors, engineers, and support staff.
- Support OT remote access migration initiatives, including implementation and transition activities associated with Dispel or comparable platforms.
- Assess client OT/ICS environments to identify security gaps and recommend remediation strategies aligned with industry standards and best practices.
- Partner with client stakeholders to translate security requirements into practical, operationally sound solutions that minimize disruption to production environments.
- Document solution designs, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
- Stay current on OT security trends, emerging threats, and vendor technologies to guide solution design and strategic recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience implementing OT security (SRA) solutions within industrial, manufacturing, energy, utilities, or other critical infrastructure environments.
- Experience with Dispel secure remote access solutions or similar OT remote access platforms (Claroty (formerly Secure Remote Access/SRA), BeyondTrust Privileged Remote Access, Cyolo)
- Experience deploying and supporting OT-specific secure remote access solutions.
- Strong understanding of OT/ICS network architecture, industrial protocols, and the unique security considerations that differentiate OT from traditional IT environments.
- Experience working with industrial control systems, SCADA environments, and operational technology infrastructures.
- Ability to assess security risks and recommend practical remediation strategies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industrial cybersecurity technologies.
- Knowledge of OT security frameworks and standards such as ISA/IEC 62443, NIST CSF, and NERC CIP.
- Previous consulting experience supporting enterprise or critical infrastructure clients.
