    Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) - Day Shift

    Under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist (OT) and in accordance with state practice guidelines, the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) provides essential services, including assisting with patient assessment, treating patients, delivering home programs, and providing instruction to patients and their families. This role is pivotal in promoting patient safety and ensuring high-quality care through teamwork and resourcefulness.

    Responsibilities
    • Conduct individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an OT.
    • Monitor patient responses to treatment and make adjustments as necessary in collaboration with the OT.
    • Participate in team processes, collaborating with other staff members effectively.
    • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records within established timeframes.
    • Engage in continued education seminars and in-services for ongoing professional development.
    • Display a customer service attitude towards patients, visitors, and colleagues.
    • Abide by all safety, infection control, and treatment guidelines, including those for isolation patients.
    • Participate in discharge planning and ensure proper equipment is provided to patients as needed.
    • Attend and contribute to team conferences to enhance patient care and communication.
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational goals.
    Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
    • Possess a valid Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice.
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a therapy role is required.
    Schedule

    This position operates on a Day 5x8.0 schedule.
