Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced OT Automation Engineer to support automation, controls, and manufacturing technology projects in a regulated medical device environment. The role involves working with PLCs, HMIs, automation systems, equipment validation, and system upgrades while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess PLCs, HMIs, and automation-controlled manufacturing equipment.
- Support automation system upgrades, deployments, and remediation activities.
- Review automation documentation and identify technical or documentation gaps.
- Coordinate testing, validation, and qualification activities (UAT, IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, IT/OT, and equipment vendors.
- Document project activities and ensure automation systems remain compliant.
Required Qualifications
- 5 10 years of experience in Automation, Controls, or OT Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation systems.
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry experience preferred.
- Knowledge of automation testing, validation, and commissioning activities.
- Experience supporting automation upgrades, migrations, or implementation projects.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is preferred.
