    Description

    Réalta Technologies are seeking an experienced and highly skilled OT Automation Engineer to support a Medical Device client of ours based in Raynham, MA, USA.
    The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in automation engineering, with strong expertise in manufacturing equipment, PLC (preferably Allen Bradley), and IT systems. This role requires a technical leader who can also manage a small team, ensuring seamless integration of automation systems with higher-level plant systems like MES and PI. 
     
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead and oversee automation projects from concept to completion.
    • Design, program, and maintain PLC and SCADA systems, with a preference for Allen Bradley.
    • Ensure seamless integration of automation systems with MES, Pi, and other higher-level plant systems.
    • Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing equipment for improved efficiency and reliability.
    • Provide technical leadership and manage a small team of automation engineers.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and reliability.
    • Maintain and improve IT infrastructure related to automation, ensuring robust networking and cybersecurity practices.
    • Support the implementation of Industry 4.0 initiatives.
    • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals and system architecture.
    • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
    Job Requirements:
    • 5+ years of experience in automation engineering, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong knowledge of PLC and SCADA programming (Allen Bradley preferred).
    • Familiarity with a range of manufacturing equipment and industrial automation systems.
    • Proficiency in IT systems and networking, including cybersecurity considerations.
    • Experience integrating automation systems with MES, PI, or other higher-level plant systems.
    • Minimum 1-2 years of leadership experience, managing a small team.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
