This is an opportunity to build a busy surgical practice with dedicated operating room access, strong clinical support, and a balanced schedule that allows physicians to focus on both operative and clinical care.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Total 2-Year Guaranteed Compensation (Base + Productivity): $808,852 annually
  • Four-year employment agreement
  • Sign-on bonus: $100,000
  • Relocation assistance: $15,000
  • Student loan repayment: $100,000 per contract term
  • Health insurance stipend: $3,000 per month

Time Off

  • 6 weeks of paid vacation
  • 2 weeks of paid CME leave
  • CME allowance of $5,000 annually

Schedule & Practice Structure

  • Proposed schedule: 4.5 days per week
  • Clinic hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Typical physician schedule:
    • 2 clinic days per week
    • 2 operating room days per week
  • Average clinic volume: 14-18 patients per day

Common Procedures

  • Total Knee Replacement
  • Total Hip Replacement
  • Knee Arthroscopy
  • Carpal Tunnel Release
  • Fracture Repair Procedures

Typical Weekly Surgical Volume

  • 2-4 total joint replacement procedures
  • 6-8 additional orthopedic procedures

Operating Room & Resources

  • Dedicated OR block time
  • Full hospital surgical resources available
  • On-site imaging including X-ray and ultrasound
  • Dedicated surgical first assist
  • Physical therapy available both on-site and through community partners

Staffing & Support

  • 3 Physician Assistants
  • 6 LVN/MA support staff members
  • Dedicated surgical first assist
  • Collaborative hospital and clinic support team

Call Responsibilities

  • Shared 1:3 call schedule
  • Emergency Department call included within compensation package
  • Additional compensation provided for patients seen in person while on call

Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Eligible for California medical licensure
