    Orthopedic Surgeon (General)

    A community-focused healthcare system in the Hudson Valley region of New York is actively recruiting a General Orthopedic Surgeon to join its established Bone & Joint team. This opportunity is driven by an upcoming retirement, creating a built-in patient base and immediate surgical demand for an incoming provider.


    This is an ideal role for a surgeon seeking a busy, bread-and-butter orthopedic practice with the ability to step into an existing referral network while maintaining a strong work-life balance in a highly desirable region.


    Position Overview:

    • Job Title: General Orthopedic Surgeon
    • Employment Type: Full-time, employed
    • Practice Setting: Hospital-employed with outpatient clinic support
    • Location: Hudson Valley, NY
    • Call Schedule: Shared, light-to-moderate

    Opportunity Highlights:

    • Turnkey Practice: Step into an established patient panel due to a retiring surgeon
    • Consistent Surgical Volume: Mix of elective and acute cases from a strong referral base
    • Broad Scope: Bread-and-butter general orthopedics including:
      • Joint replacements (hip, knee, shoulder preferred but not required)
      • Fracture care and orthopedic trauma
      • Sports injuries and degenerative conditions
    • OR Access: Dedicated block time and efficient surgical support
    • Collaborative Team: Work alongside experienced orthopedists and APP support
    • Tertiary Backup: Access to subspecialty support for complex cases

    Responsibilities:

    • Diagnose and treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions
    • Perform surgical and non-surgical interventions
    • Participate in shared call coverage
    • Collaborate with primary care, ED, and rehab teams
    • Maintain high-quality, patient-centered care standards


    Qualifications:

    • MD or DO
    • Board-Certified / Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
    • Eligible for New York State medical license
    • Strong interest in general orthopedics and community-based practice

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • $480,000 $650,000 base salary + production incentives
    • Full benefits package (health, dental, vision, malpractice, retirement)
