Orthopedic Assistant, Full-time, 40 Hours

Applies orthopedic treatment items/technologies to patients upon the order of a physician. Assists in the care of the orthopedic patient, including care of fractures, casting and suture removals. Assists with minor office procedures. Schedules surgeries.  Must have experience working with hand surgeon. Will work primarily with hand surgeon, will also work with other ortho surgeons and neurosurgeon.

Education and Training

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Attendance and graduation from Orthopedic Technology program preferred.
• Registered Orthopedic Technologist (R.O.T.) preferred.
• BLS required.

Experience

• Two (2) to four (4) years experience preferred.

 Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications

• Medical terminology required
• Must have and maintain technical computer skills

 Schedule:  8am - 4:30pm
