    Join a Well-Established Orthodontic Practice

    We are seeking an Orthodontist to join a well-established orthodontic practice in Columbia, South Carolina. Our practice has been serving the community for 6 years and has built a strong reputation with patients and families.

This is a great advantage because the orthodontist would not be starting from scratch or having to build a patient base entirely on their own.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Examine, diagnose, and develop customized treatment plans for patients with dental and jaw alignment issues.
    • Design and implement treatment plans using braces, clear aligners systems.
    • Monitor patient progress, adjust appliances, and ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
    • Collaborate with general dentists, oral surgeons, and other specialists as needed.
    • Educate patients and their families on treatment options, procedures, oral hygiene, and post-treatment care.
    • Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely patient records using digital practice management systems.
    • Stay current with advancements in orthodontics and participate in continuing education and professional training.
    • Follow all applicable dental regulations, infection-control protocols, and workplace safety procedures.

    Qualifications

    • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
    • Completion of an accredited orthodontic residency program.
    • Board certification or eligibility preferred.
    • Active South Carolina dental license or ability to obtain licensure.
    • Proficiency with digital orthodontic tools and imaging technology.
    • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative clinical team.

    Preferred Skills & Experience

    • Experience with clear aligner systems.
    • Knowledge of 3D printing and digital orthodontic workflows.
    • Familiarity with digital imaging and orthodontic technology such as iTero and Pan Ceth
    • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care.
    • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.

    • Responsible for providing and delivering quality dental care to our patients.
    • Create orthodontic dental treatment plans.
    • Ensure treatment plan is reviewed with each family and receive informed consents for treatments services.
    • Adhere to all federal and government regulations, including the state dental board rules and regulations, HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
    • Provide leadership and direction to clinical support staff in all areas of patient treatment.
    • Consistently portray a positive working attitude that fosters a pleasant work environment.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 2-Years of Experience preferred.
