    Position Title: Orthodontic Lead/Dental Assistant
     
    We are looking for an outgoing Lead Orthodontic Assistant who also helps with dental assisting responsibilities and is ready to join our very fast-paced dental office in Bryan.
    Purpose: The Orthodontic Lead is responsible for overseeing the day to day functions of the Orthodontic Clinic to ensure a smooth flow of the schedule.
    Essential Functions:
    • Organizes the flow in the  Orthodontic clinical area, ensuring the efficient operation of the schedule
    • Exercises a high degree of independent decision making regarding schedule and patient flow
    • Maintains upkeep of the clinic, storage, and  inventory
    • Audits patient charts to minimize errors
    • Sends all cases to lab for fabrication and makes progress notes
    • Manages all Invisalign orders
    • Completes supply order list and inventory to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained
    • Assists the Orthodontist with patients
    • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of employees
    • Oversees the day to day functions of the Orthodontic clinical area and leads the Orthodontic team
    • Educates patients with orthodontic appliances in proper oral health
    • On non-orthodontic days, assists the dentist with patients
    • Prepares tray set-ups for dental procedures
    • Sterilizes instruments as needed
    • Manages all general lab cases and inventory
    • Adheres to all established OSHA and Infection control standards
    Qualifications
    • General Dental Assisting: 3 years (required)
    • Orthodontic  Assisting: 3 years (required)
    • Registered Dental Assistant (required)
    • X-ray certifications (required)
    • High School or equivalent (Preferred)
