Traveling Orthodontic Assistant
Family Orthodontics – Smyrna & Union City, GA
Family Orthodontics is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our busy, fast-paced practice. This position will travel between our
Smyrna and Union City locations.
Schedule: 4 days per week | 7:15 AM–4:30 PM
Travel pay provided
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on orthodontic assisting experience required.
- Internship/externship experience does not count toward the one-year requirement.
- Must be comfortable traveling between Smyrna and Union City.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume practice.
- Dependable, energetic, and team-oriented.
Must Have Experience:
- Assisting with bonding and debonding procedures.
- Placing and removing orthodontic wires.
- Changing archwires, elastics, and power chains.
- Placing orthodontic separators.
- Taking impressions and/or digital scans.
- Taking orthodontic X-rays and photographs.
- Preparing patients for orthodontic procedures.
- Providing instructions for elastics, retainers, and orthodontic appliances.
- Performing orthodontic records and chart documentation.
- Sterilizing instruments and maintaining treatment areas.
- Assisting the orthodontist with other clinical procedures as needed.
