Orthodontic Assistant

Wasilla, AK & Anchorage, AK
(Full-time position requires working in both locations)

Job Summary:

DuClos Orthodontics is seeking a full-time Orthodontic Assistant to support clinical functions across our Wasilla and Anchorage offices. The ideal candidate is punctual, professional, detail-oriented, and a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the orthodontist with patient care and orthodontic procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection control protocols
• Take dental X-rays, panoramic images, and digital scans as needed
• Assist with bonding and debonding braces, placing brackets, and changing archwires as directed by the orthodontist.

• Assist with fitting, adjusting, and removing orthodontic appliances, retainers, and other devices as permitted by state regulations.

• Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic adjustments and procedures. 

 Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of dental experience required

• Dental or orthodontic experience preferred

• Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work independently

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Willingness and ability to work in both Wasilla and Anchorage officesCompensation:

• DOE (Depending on Experience)

Work Schedule:

• Full-time | Monday–Friday
