Quality · Helps create a superior clinical identity by operationalizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes. Ensures adherence to standards of care. · Supports efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and improve efficiency, effectiveness and cost. Ensures a culture of accountability and transparency in the provision of care. · Supports the achievement of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations and designations. · Ensures compliance with all policies procedures and regulatory standards. · Manages admissions and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care. · Facilitates effective interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments. Ensures staff with appropriate clinical competencies are assigned to meet patient care needs. · Manages nursing practice and unit operations. Monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures to ensure patient and family needs are assessed and met. · Ensures equipment maintenance is performed regularly and according to regulatory and/or accreditation standards. Service · Provides leadership in attaining and sustaining an unparalleled patient experience. Instils accountability for providing consistent positive patient interactions that differentiates the organization as a healthcare leader. · Reviews various feedback mechanisms and helps identify opportunities to improve customer/patient satisfaction. Maintains staffing in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines. · Manages operating expenses including the utilization of supplies and equipment. Identifies cost reduction opportunities and implements actions to achieve savings. What qualifications you will need: Education: Associate degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Licensure/Certifications: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. National Nursing Certification in Specialty or Nursing Leadership preferred. BLS recognized by AHA required upon hire. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare required. At least one year of experience in a leadership role preferred. Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Women's & Children's healthcare services. We offer the region's only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU. We have four emergency rooms, including a dedicated Pediatric emergency room and two freestanding ERs located in Olathe and Shawnee. Each year our colleagues treat over 45,000 patients.
