Job Requirements.
- EducationRequirements: Bachelor's degree in Orientation and Mobility, Education of the Visually Impaired, or a related field (or equivalent experience/credentialing as applicable)
- CertificationsRequirements: Resume and License (must maintain all required professional licensure/credentialing for an Orientation and Mobility Specialist)
- ExperienceRequirements: Minimum 1 year of experience providing Orientation and Mobility services, including direct student support and skill-building in real-world navigation
- OtherRequirements: School setting experience preferred; part-time availability for 10.0 hours/week; strong communication and collaboration with students, families, and school teams; ability to adapt instruction to individual student needs; must be comfortable working during school hours (Days); reliable transportation to/from sites in or near San Antonio, Texas; background check and onboarding requirements as required by the facility/school district

JobResponsibilities:
- Provide Orientation and Mobility assessments and deliver individualized instruction aligned with student needs in a school setting
- Develop, implement, and document O&M goals and progress reports in coordination with the educational team
- Teach functional travel skills, tactile/visual strategies, and safe navigation techniques in real-world environments
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student learning and independence
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district/school requirements, including maintaining required licensure/credentials
