Sorrel River Ranch maintains a 175‑acre organic garden and farm that supplies fresh, seasonal produce to our restaurant and mercantile. Rooted in permaculture principles, we focus on soil health, organic inputs, and sustainable growing practices. The garden also serves as a gathering space for guest activities and community engagement.Position Overview
This role is ideal for someone eager to deepen their knowledge of permaculture, composting methods, irrigation systems, plant identification, organic standards, and daily farm operations. Our garden team works outdoors year‑round, surrounded by Moab’s iconic red cliffs. We’re looking for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, learns continuously, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Routine plant and greenhouse care
Irrigation setup, maintenance, and repair
Compost building and soil‑health practices
Weeding, watering, and general garden upkeep
Food production and orchard maintenance
Engaging with resort guests to enhance their experience
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Work independently and as part of a team
Comfort interacting with guests in a welcoming, professional manner
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Organic farming or gardening experience preferred
A positive, solution‑oriented mindset and strong desire to learn required
$15/hour
Shared housing available at minimal cost
