What You"ll Do

As our Senior Polymer Chemist, you"ll serve as a technical leader responsible for advancing innovative materials technologies and delivering commercially impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, synthesis, and characterization of advanced polymeric materials, adhesives, elastomers, and surfactant-based technologies
• Unlock new performance capabilities by investigating structure-property relationships and application mechanisms
• Develop innovative formulations balancing performance, manufacturability, cost, regulatory requirements, and intellectual property strategies
• Design and execute sophisticated research programs utilizing DOE methodologies, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision making
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to successfully scale technologies from concept to commercial production
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and external research partners to accelerate innovation and product development
• Identify emerging technologies, market opportunities, and strategic growth initiatives
• Analyze and communicate technical findings through reports, presentations, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
• Generate intellectual property through inventions, patents, and proprietary technology development
• Support product validation, field testing, and commercialization efforts
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining scientific rigor, organization, and attention to detail

What We"re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline
• Deep expertise in polymer synthesis, characterization, and structure-property relationships
• Strong knowledge of silicones, adhesives, elastomers, and surfactant chemistry
• Proven success developing innovative materials from research through commercialization
• Advanced understanding of chemical, thermal, mechanical, and physical testing methodologies
• Extensive experience utilizing DOE, statistical analysis, and experimental design techniques
• Demonstrated record of innovation, technical problem-solving, and patent generation
• Ability to independently drive research initiatives and deliver impactful results

Preferred Experience

• Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams
• Partnering with suppliers, customers, and external research organizations
• Supporting patent filings and intellectual property strategies
• Translating complex scientific concepts into commercially successful products

Work Environment

This full-time position offers a flexible Monday-Friday schedule, with start times generally ranging from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM and corresponding end times between 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM. You"ll work in a dynamic R&D environment where curiosity, innovation, and scientific excellence are valued and rewarded.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
