    Description

    Our client, a global medical device manufacturer, is seeking an Order Planning Coordinator to support customer order fulfillment during periods of constrained supply. This position plays a critical role in partnering with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to prioritize customer orders based on product availability, inventory levels, and business priorities.


    Location: Portage, MI (Onsite)
     Duration: 6+ Month Contract


    WORKING HOURS ARE - 9-6 PM EST, and to be flexible to work later if needed


    The ideal candidate will have strong order management experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment. This role requires daily use of SAP to analyze customer orders, inventory, and supply constraints while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest-priority customer needs are fulfilled.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review and prioritize customer orders based on inventory availability, supply constraints, and business priorities. 
    • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to determine which customer orders should receive priority allocation. 
    • Utilize SAP daily to monitor order status, inventory levels, backorders, and product availability. 
    • Analyze open customer orders and recommend fulfillment priorities based on changing supply conditions. 
    • Coordinate order allocation activities to maximize customer satisfaction while balancing available inventory. 
    • Communicate order status updates, potential delays, and allocation decisions to internal stakeholders. 
    • Monitor inventory shortages and proactively identify risks impacting customer deliveries. 
    • Ensure accurate order processing throughout the order lifecycle, from purchase order receipt through final order fulfillment. 
    • Maintain accurate order documentation and system records within SAP. 
    • Collaborate with planning and operations teams to improve order fulfillment processes and resolve supply-related issues. 
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to order management and customer fulfillment.
