Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking dependable and hardworking Order Pickers / Packers for a busy distribution center in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for accurately picking, verifying, and packaging merchandise for shipment to retail locations while maintaining established productivity, quality, and safety standards.
The ideal candidate has previous warehouse, distribution, order-picking, or packing experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
Candidates must have at least 1 year of relevant experience, with 3 years preferred, and must be flexible to work mandatory overtime when required.
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
3 years of experience preferred
Previous warehouse, distribution, picking, or packing experience preferred
Basic computer skills required
Ability to accurately verify item numbers and quantities
Strong attention to detail and order accuracy
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to meet established productivity standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a warehouse team
Flexibility to perform different warehouse functions as needed
Ability to work mandatory overtime when required
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Strong commitment to workplace safety
High school diploma or equivalent required
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Pick merchandise according to assigned orders
Pack merchandise into boxes or appropriate shipping containers
Prepare completed orders for shipment to retail locations
Verify item numbers before packing
Confirm product quantities
Review packing labels for accuracy
Inspect merchandise for visible damage or quality concerns
Separate damaged or incorrect products when necessary
Use RF scanners or other tracking systems when applicable
Maintain accurate order and product information
Meet established productivity and accuracy standards
Maintain consistent production output throughout the shift
Keep assigned work areas clean and organized
Follow all company warehouse and safety procedures
Assist with additional warehouse functions as assigned
Work with team members and supervisors to meet daily department goals
Order Picking Responsibilities
Depending on assignment, candidates may:
Review assigned orders
Locate required merchandise
Pull correct products and quantities
Verify item numbers
Prepare merchandise for packing
Use RF scanners when applicable
Identify missing or incorrect products
Stage completed orders for the next step in the fulfillment process
Packing Responsibilities
Select appropriate boxes or shipping containers
Pack merchandise safely and efficiently
Verify products before sealing packages
Confirm quantities against order information
Apply or verify packing labels
Help protect products from damage during transportation
Prepare completed packages for shipment
Maintain consistent packing quality throughout production
RF Scanner & Computer Responsibilities
Candidates should be comfortable using or learning:
RF scanners
Warehouse tracking systems
Basic computer applications
Electronic order information
Inventory and shipment data
Basic computer proficiency is required.
Quality & Accuracy
Verify item numbers before shipment
Confirm order quantities
Inspect merchandise for damage
Review labels for accuracy
Identify incorrect products
Maintain accuracy while meeting productivity expectations
Report product or order discrepancies
Help prevent incorrect or damaged merchandise from being shipped

3+ years of warehouse experience
Order picking experience
Packing experience
Distribution center experience
RF scanner experience
Shipping experience
Inventory experience
Retail distribution experience
Fulfillment or production experience
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
Frequent squatting, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
Ability to sit or stand depending on assigned responsibilities
Ability to perform repetitive picking and packing movements
Comfortable remaining physically active throughout the workday
Ability to safely handle merchandise and shipping materials
Ability to wear all required PPE
Schedule & Overtime Requirements
Regular schedule:
5:00 AM 1:30 PM
Candidates must also be flexible to work mandatory overtime when required based on distribution and workload demands.
Dependable attendance and schedule flexibility are important for this position.
