A leader in the design and manufacturing of high-purity gas delivery systems is hiring an Orbital TIG Welder to join its production team in Malvern, PA. This position plays a critical role in manufacturing precision gas delivery assemblies used in highly regulated industries.
Working in a cleanroom environment, the Orbital TIG Welder will utilize semi-automatic orbital welding equipment to fabricate high-purity tubing and components while maintaining strict quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and production documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform orbital TIG welding on high and ultra-high purity gas delivery system components using semi-automatic orbital welding equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work orders, and job travelers to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Set up, position, and align components according to engineering specifications.
- Inspect welded assemblies for quality and identify defects or non-conforming components.
- Operate welding equipment safely while following established manufacturing procedures.
- Complete production documentation and maintain accurate manufacturing records.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment while following 5S principles.
- Collaborate with production team members to ensure material and equipment availability.
- Support production schedules by working overtime as needed.
Key Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or mechanical assembly environment.
- Previous orbital TIG welding experience or exposure to precision welding processes is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and precision instruments.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to consistently produce high-quality, repeatable work.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to follow standardized procedures and manufacturing protocols.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing detailed production work.
- Must have good vision and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet production deadlines.
