About the Role:NJ Oral & Facial Surgery is looking for a skilled and dedicated Oral Surgery/Dental Assistant to join our team in Howell, and Monroe NJ! This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced oral surgeons in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment where your skills truly make a difference every day.
Responsibilities:- Assist oral surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures including extractions, implants, and facial surgeries
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and maintain a clean, organized operatory
- Take and process dental X-rays and CBCT scans as needed
- Monitor and assist with patient sedation and post-operative care
- Educate patients on pre- and post-operative instructions to ensure smooth recovery
- Manage and document accurate patient records and treatment notes
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and assist with ordering as needed
Requirements:- Prior experience as a dental or oral surgery assistant strongly preferred
- Familiarity with oral surgery procedures, instruments, and terminology
- Dental radiography certification or X-ray license required or ability to obtain
- CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Strong chairside manner with a compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
