    Position: Oracle Retail MFCS Technical/Techno-Functional Consultant

    Location: Remote / On-Demand Travel to Client Location

    Duration: Long term contract

    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service (MFCS) Technical / Techno-Functional Consultant to support the design, development, integration, implementation, and enhancement of Oracle Retail Merchandising solutions.

    The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle Retail MFCS, including Merchandising System, Item, Supplier, Inventory, Pricing, Purchase Orders, Transfers, Sales Audit integration, and financial/retail downstream integrations. The candidate should be comfortable working across both technical and functional areas and collaborating with business, retail, and integration teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, customize, and support Oracle Retail MFCS solutions based on business requirements.
    • Analyze functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications and scalable MFCS solutions.
    • Develop and maintain Oracle Retail MFCS interfaces, integrations, extensions, and customizations.
    • Work extensively with Oracle Database, PL/SQL, SQL, stored procedures, packages, triggers, and performance tuning.
    • Develop and support MFCS batch processes, jobs, and data interfaces.
    • Work with retail master data including items, locations, suppliers, organizations, merchandise hierarchies, inventory, pricing, and purchasing.
    • Support integration of MFCS with other Oracle Retail applications and external enterprise systems.
    • Develop and troubleshoot integrations using REST APIs, SOAP services, XML, JSON, file-based integrations, and enterprise middleware.
    • Work with downstream/upstream systems such as Oracle Retail SIM, RMS/MFCS, RPM, ReSA, Oracle Retail Xstore, Order Management, ERP/Finance, Warehouse Management, and other enterprise applications.
    • Analyze interface failures, batch failures, data issues, and production incidents and provide root-cause analysis.
    • Participate in technical design, code development, unit testing, SIT, UAT, deployment, and production support.
    • Develop SQL queries and data validation scripts to troubleshoot and reconcile retail transaction and master data.
    • Work closely with functional consultants and business users to understand retail processes and resolve application issues.
    • Perform impact analysis for MFCS enhancements, patches, upgrades, and new implementations.
    • Support data conversion, data migration, reconciliation, and validation activities.
    • Prepare technical design documents, interface specifications, mapping documents, test cases, and support documentation.
    • Follow coding standards, development best practices, and change-management processes.

    Required Technical Skills

    • 10+ years of IT experience with significant experience in Oracle Retail.
    • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Retail MFCS / Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service.
    • Strong knowledge of Oracle Retail Merchandising architecture and data model.
    • Strong Oracle SQL / PL/SQL development experience.
    • Experience with MFCS batch processes and batch scheduling.
    • Strong experience developing and troubleshooting retail integrations and interfaces.
    • Experience with REST APIs, SOAP, XML, JSON, and file-based integrations.
    • Experience with Oracle Database and performance tuning.
    • Knowledge of Oracle Retail integrationpatterns and enterprise retail architecture.
    • Experience with source control and deployment tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, or similar DevOps tools.
    • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
    • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support skills.

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred
