Role Name: Oracle ERP Solution Architect – Supply Chain & PLM
Work site: Albany, US (Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months
**SUMMARY**
We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle ERP Solution Architect / Technical Lead to lead our Oracle ERP landscape with a primary focus on Supply Chain Management (SCM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Plan-to-Make / Plan-to-Manufacture (PTM), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Direct Procurement domains. This position is responsible for driving the design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Oracle ERP (EBS / Fusion) solutions as part of a global modernization program spanning manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial operations.
The ideal candidate will bring deep techno-functional expertise across Oracle Fusion SCM modules — including Inventory Management, Order Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Planning, Product Data Hub (PDH), Quality Management, and Direct Procurement — combined with hands-on technical leadership and a strategic mindset to translate complex business requirements into scalable, compliant, and future-ready ERP solutions. Supporting expertise in Indirect Procurement and Record-to-Report (R2R) is valued as a complementary capability.
This role acts as the critical connector between business process owners, SI partners, technical teams, and stakeholders — ensuring that solution architecture, product management, and integration strategies are aligned with enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. The successful candidate will bring advanced skills in Oracle ERP, Fusion AI Agents, Fusion Data Intelligence, BI Publisher, OIC, VBCS, APEX, SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting, along with strong experience in ERP integrations, data migration, and boundary system management. A key expectation is to proactively provide automation and process improvement ideas, introduce AI-enabled solutions, and drive toward industry standards and best practices. The role requires constructively challenging requirements and designs, promoting continuous improvement, and influencing teams to adopt innovative solutions.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
***Supply Chain, PLM, PTM, O2C, and Direct Procurement (Primary)***
? Lead end-to-end solution architecture for Oracle Fusion SCM domains including Inventory Management, Order Management, Shipping and Logistics, Supply Chain Planning (SCP), Manufacturing (WIP/Discrete/Process), and Product Data Hub (PDH/PLM), ensuring robust, scalable, and GxP-compliant solutions.
? Architect and deliver solutions for the Plan-to-Make (PTM) process lifecycle — from demand planning and supply planning through production scheduling, work order execution, costing, and inventory reconciliation.
? Design and optimize Direct Procurement processes including purchase order management, supplier collaboration, purchasing contracts, supplier qualification, and procurement analytics within Oracle Fusion Purchasing and Oracle Business Network (OBN).
? Lead solution design for Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes covering order management, pricing, trade compliance, fulfillment, shipping, invoicing, and revenue recognition, ensuring end-to-end alignment across SCM and Finance boundaries.
? Provide deep techno-functional subject matter expertise in Oracle Fusion SCM modules: Inventory Management, Order Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Planning, Product Hub (PDH), Quality Management, Purchasing, and Cost Management.
? Drive PLM strategy including item lifecycle governance, product data management, engineering change management, and item master synchronization across Oracle Product Data Hub and integrated PLM systems.
? Oversee integration architecture for SCM boundary systems including warehouse management (WMS), transportation management (OTM/GTM), manufacturing execution systems (MES), quality systems, and supplier portals.
? Lead fit-gap analysis, CRP sessions, and solution design workshops for SCM, PLM, PTM, O2C, and Direct Procurement workstreams.
? Ensure SCM solutions comply with GxP, SOX, ITGC, and regulatory requirements applicable to pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing environments.
***Indirect Procurement and R2R (Secondary)***
? Provide solution oversight and architectural guidance for Indirect Procurement processes including requisition-to-pay, catalog management, supplier onboarding, and spend analytics.
? Support Record-to-Report (R2R) solution design covering general ledger, cost accounting, period-end close, and financial reporting as it relates to supply chain costing and manufacturing variance analysis.
? Oversee boundary system integrations for indirect procurement and financial domains (e.g., contract management, spend analytics, bank validations, global e-invoicing).
***Cross-Functional and Technical Responsibilities***
? Translate complex business and functional requirements into optimal technical designs, asking critical questions to clarify needs and drive effective solutions.
? Demonstrate strong technical expertise in Oracle ERP BI Publisher (BIP), OTBI, VBCS, APEX, SOAP UI, SQL, PL/SQL, shell scripts, Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence, AI Agents Studio, and PaaS Extensions for developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing ERP solutions.
? Evaluate and review vendor products for ERP systems, ensuring alignment with business requirements and enterprise architecture standards.
? Lead technical assessments and RFP processes for new ERP solutions, including fit-gap analysis and vendor selection.
? Set and enforce coding standards, technical documentation templates, and technical review processes.
? Conduct design/code reviews and mentor development teams on best practices and technical excellence.
? Oversee and support the design of integrations and extensions across Oracle ERP and related boundary systems, including Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), file-based integrations, and APIs.
? Provide automation and process improvement ideas, leveraging AI-enabled solutions and native Oracle Cloud capabilities to drive efficiency and innovation across SCM, manufacturing, and commercial operations.
? Coordinate with the AI governance team to review and assess ERP products or features involving AI, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards for security, privacy, and ethical use.
? Guide and maintain documentation standards for all technical work, including RFPs, design documents, configuration workbooks, functional and technical specifications, code review templates, and approval rules.
? Collaborate with functional product managers, delivery teams, and process owners to review requirements and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and business strategy.
? Ensure all solutions and processes comply with SOX, ITGC, GxP, internal controls, audit, and security standards, including RBAC/ABAC for sensitive data and access controls.
? Identify risks, gaps, and design issues and escalate to leadership and PMO as needed.
? Promote continuous improvement through automation, standardization, and adoption of native Oracle Cloud and AI capabilities.
? Mentor internal and external teams on technical standards, governance, and documentation best practices.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
? Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
? 15+ years of hands-on techno-functional experience in Oracle ERP (EBS and/or Fusion), with at least 10 years of deep expertise in Supply Chain Management (SCM), PLM, Manufacturing (PTM), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Direct Procurement domains.
? Demonstrated hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion SCM modules: Inventory Management, Order Management, Manufacturing (Discrete/Process), Supply Chain Planning, Product Data Hub (PDH), Quality Management, and Direct Purchasing.
