Oracle DBA / Oracle Database Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA / Oracle Database Developer with strong hands-on experience in Oracle database administration, development, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across both DBA and development activities in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support Oracle databases in production and non-production environments.
• Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
• Monitor database performance and perform performance tuning and optimization.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide root-cause analysis.
• Implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Manage database security, user access, roles, and privileges.
• Support database migrations, upgrades, and application deployments.
• Work closely with application developers, architects, infrastructure, and business teams.
• Participate in production support and resolve critical database incidents.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and database standards.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience working with Oracle databases.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle DBA activities.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Experience with Oracle database performance tuning.
• Experience with backup and recovery using RMAN.
• Experience with database monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Strong understanding of database security, users, roles, and privileges.
• Experience with database upgrades, migrations, and patching.
• Good understanding of high availability and disaster recovery concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle RAC/Data Guard.
• Experience with cloud databases, particularly Oracle Cloud/AWS/Azure.
• Experience with shell scripting or automation.
• Experience supporting large enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
