Oracle Database Management Specialist Senior

Our clients include the US Department of Education, US Department of Transportation, US Department of Justice, US Department of Health & Human Services, Montgomery County government, Prince George's County Government, the governments of the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. *Experience: At least seven (7) years of experience in using current DBMS technologies, application design utilizing various database management systems and experience with DBMS internals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the operational reliability, integrity and performance of all production databases.
2. Perform back-up and recovery of existing databases, performance monitoring, and tuning.
3. Perform database installations and upgrades and ensure the security of confidential data.
4. Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions along with periodic maintenance, fixes, and patches of databases.
5. Perform analysis of business needs, write reporting requirements, and turn requirements into delivered solutions.
6. Assist users in writing complex queries and reports.

*Education:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or another related scientific or technical discipline

• Three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field.

*Experience:

1. At least seven (7) years of experience in using current DBMS technologies, application design utilizing various database management systems and experience with DBMS internals.
2. Must have seven (7) years of experience in DBMS systems analysis and programming.
3. Knowledge of or at least one (1) year of experience in website development meeting accessibility standards WCAG 2.1 (at least Level A and AA)
4. Strong understanding of Oracle architecture.
5. Extensive experience as an Oracle DBA, including patching and creating backups using a variety of Oracle methods.
6. Skilled in database performance tuning using different Oracle tools.
7. Experience implementing Oracle Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and maintaining is required.
8. Microsoft SQL Server 2022 and updated.
9. SQL server management studio / administration studio.
