Job Description
The Client is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures that ensure the security and integrity of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) database .The DBA will be responsible for implementing data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes, and resolving ERP database performance, capacity, replication, and distributed data issues.The candidate will work under general supervision and will be expected to use extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and database administration skills are required.Required Skills
- Strong Oracle DBA experience with Oracle 19c and Oracle 26ai
- Experience supporting Oracle databases in OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)
- Experience supporting Oracle databases on-premise
- Experience migrating Oracle databases to OCI
- Experience with Oracle 19c
- RAC and ASM (Automatic Storage Management) on Linux
- Data Guard Physical Standby
- RMAN backup and recovery
- Oracle Data Pump (export/import), Oracle Enterprise Manager, performance tuning, security, patching, and documentation
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Highly Desired Skills
- Experience migrating Commonwealth of Virginia (COV) agency Oracle databases to OCI
- Linux/Unix system administration experience
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification
- Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or newer
