    Job Title: Oracle APEX & Forms Developer

    About the Role
    As an Oracle Developer, you will participate in an enterprise modernization initiative replacing legacy Oracle Forms applications with modern, secure, and maintainable Oracle APEX applications running on Oracle Database 19c. You will collaborate closely with technical leadership and cross-functional teams to design modern interfaces, optimize database performance, and support the full software development lifecycle in an Agile/Scrum environment.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Application Modernization: Analyze, migrate, and convert legacy Oracle Forms applications into modern Oracle APEX user interfaces in collaboration with technical leads.
    • Database & PL/SQL Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, and complex queries.
    • UI/UX & Standards: Assist in establishing UI/UX design standards and authorization/security models for APEX applications.
    • Performance Tuning: Conduct performance profiling and query tuning to enhance application maintainability, speed, and responsiveness.
    • Data Analysis & Reporting: Perform data analysis, script generation, and data pulls to support system enhancements and executive reporting.
    • Lifecycle & Release Support: Participate in all phases of the system development lifecycle (requirements, coding, testing, deployment, and post-production support) including release management and production deployments.
    • Documentation & Mentoring: Create comprehensive technical and functional documentation, while providing guidance and knowledge transfer to team members.
    Required Skills & Qualifications
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
    • PL/SQL Expertise: 5 7 years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development (Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and Advanced Queries).
    • Oracle APEX: 5 7 years of experience building and maintaining applications using Oracle APEX.
    • Database Knowledge: Strong expertise in Oracle RDBMS (Oracle Database 19c preferred).
    • Tools: Proficiency with SQL Developer, TOAD, or equivalent database tools.
    • Performance & Integration: Proven experience in SQL/PL/SQL performance tuning, debugging, testing, and web services integration.
    • Core Concepts: Solid understanding of data modeling principles and Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
    • Communication: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
    Preferred Skills
    • Hands-on experience modernizing legacy Oracle Forms applications.
    • Prior experience with public sector, government, or environmental regulatory systems.
    • Exposure to Web Services, XML, HTML, Java, PL/SQL APIs, and SOA architecture.
    • Experience with SQL Server database tools and cross-platform query tuning.
