What You’ll Do:

• Assist in Ophthalmology, ENT, General, and Pediatric surgeries involving procedures such as cataract extraction, sinus surgeries, tonsillectomies, thyroidectomies, and more
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environment and equipment
• Support surgical team with patient positioning and instrument handling
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols, including PPE and laser safety
• Assist with specimen handling, labeling, and documentation using EPIC and SBAR systems
• Participate in surgical procedures in a fast-paced outpatient setting with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Follow unit-specific protocols to ensure quality patient care and safety

What You Need:

• Valid Surgical Technologist license or certification (BLS required)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant surgical tech experience
• Experience with Ambulatory OR & ENT procedures, including sinus, ear, nose, throat surgeries, and ophthalmology cases
• Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

About the Assignment:
This assignment is located in a busy outpatient surgical unit specializing in eye, ear, nose, and throat procedures, including cataracts, sinus surgeries, tonsillectomies, and pediatric ENT surgeries. The unit utilizes EPIC and SBAR systems and maintains a high standard of patient safety and care. Surgical techs will start directly on the unit each Monday, with no RTO or float requirements.
