The Operating Room Supplies Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting safe, efficient surgical care by ensuring the right supplies and equipment are available when and where they're needed. This is a hands-on Supply Chain position focused on inventory management, stocking, and materials support within Surgical Services. This is not an administrative or surgery scheduling role.

What You'll Do

• Receive, stock, replenish, and distribute supplies throughout Surgical Services.
• Monitor inventory levels, maintain par locations, and ensure critical supplies are available for surgical procedures.
• Complete inventory transactions, cycle counts, and audits using inventory management systems and handheld scanners.
• Identify and manage expired, backordered, substituted, and obsolete products.
• Coordinate bill-only items, product deliveries, vendor-supported supplies, and equipment needs.
• Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready supply locations.
• Communicate effectively with surgical staff, Supply Chain team members, vendors, and leadership to resolve supply needs.
• Follow infection prevention practices, regulatory requirements, and departmental policies while supporting a safe surgical environment.

What We're Looking For

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience

• Minimum three (3) years of hands-on materials management or supply chain experience required.

OR

• Minimum three (3) years of direct Operating Room or Surgical Services experience required, including hands-on responsibility for inventory management, supply handling, or equipment support.

Administrative or office-based Surgical Services experience, including surgery scheduling, does not meet this requirement.

• Ability to prioritize changing demands while maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory management systems.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking throughout surgical and perioperative areas.
• Regular bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting supplies up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to work in an active clinical environment with changing priorities.
