OpX Sustainment Leader II - Inventory Management

As a Sustainment Manager II, you will develop and implement sustainability programs to help ensure systematic monitoring, evaluation, and continual improvement in H-E-B's operational processes. Essential functions and process responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) OpX Sustainment: Monitors, assists and provides recommendations for process improvements within the business Assists Process / Project Managers and Process Analysts / Advisors in introduction and implementation of new process initiatives Works with the business leader to prioritize and ensure continuous improvement initiatives are part of the business strategy Continually reviews operations to ensure payroll models remain relevant Collaborates with other departments to ensure that sustainability efforts have a limited impact on productivity or quality standards Works collaboratively with managers and Partners at multiple levels to drive measurable outcomes during sustainment phase using Lean tools / methodologies Reviews, maintains, and expands on results of new process implementation; advocates and influences appropriate change processes related to improvement opportunities and quality gaps in alignment Acts as a change agent after process implementation to encourage strategies that produce sustainable and scalable process improvements Supports and ensures compliance with company, departmental, and regulatory environmental / health / safety requirements and goals Communications: Works with business owners to create and finalize continuous improvement related documents that support new process implementation Develops and executes training, coaching, and communication strategies Coaching / Training / Mentoring: Provides continuous improvement related training / mentoring to support ongoing development of competencies in Lean principles and other improvement technologies Coaches and develops Partners and leaders on how to sustain a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving Preferred Education and Experience A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience 6+ years of related experience Extensive experience in continuous improvement- based tools / techniques, project management, leadership, coaching and training considered a plus Preferred Key Competencies Excellent leadership and project management skills Excellent written / verbal communication and presentation skills; able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization Excellent team facilitation and negotiating skills Advanced analytical skills Knowledge of PC applications (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint) Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, changing environment Ability to build collaborative relationships - Ability to mentor on / facilitate Lean culture change in an environment with varying acceptance Physical and Other Requirements Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment Travel by car or airplane with overnight stays Sit for an extended period of time Lift 20 lbs or more on an occasional basis Work extended hours
