Why join us?
Since 1966, ESMF has built a trusted reputation for compassionate, technologically advanced eye care across Central Florida. With eight clinics, two on-site ASCs, and a team of 200+ employees, the practice offers broad clinical exposure across cataracts, dry eye, eyelid procedures, comprehensive eye exams, glaucoma, laser treatments, optical, and retina care. You’ll be part of an award-winning team recognized as the “Top Independent Practice of North America for 2024” by Transitions, joining a culture that prioritizes teamwork, professional collaboration, and meaningful patient relationships. As the practice continues to grow, you’ll help expand optometry coverage, support access to care across the region, and contribute to ongoing improvements that make each patient visit more seamless, personalized, and effective.
What you'll do:
As a Board-Certified Optometric Physician, you’ll provide high-quality primary eye and vision care in an outpatient setting, including comprehensive exams, corrective lens prescriptions, prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. Utilizing your license to its fullest extent as you see it to treat ocular disease. In this full-time, 40-hour-per-week role, you’ll support total patient care while working with an expanding portfolio of leading-edge technology, including a Topcon slit lamp, Topcon autorefractor, Topcon NCT CT-80, Zeiss OCT Cirrus 5000, Kowa Nonmyd camera, and Haag-Streit Octopus 600 visual field equipment. You’ll also participate in clinical and business meetings, community education, and practice events, share responsibility for training technicians to strengthen clinical knowledge and improve patient flow, and collaborate with office leadership through monthly meetings and bi-weekly business reviews. The practice sees 400+ patients daily across the organization, creating a dynamic environment where strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care are essential. Our ODs are provided with a team support approach. This allows them to properly care for 28-40 patients per day.
Who you are:
You’re a passionate, patient-centered optometrist with a Doctor of Optometry degree from an ACOE-accredited school and an active, unrestricted Florida optometric license. You bring kindness, empathy, and patience to every interaction, along with excellent patient care skills and the confidence to support patients across diverse visual needs and age groups. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with opticians, technicians, administrative staff, and practice leadership to deliver seamless care, strengthen team culture, and support the continued growth and reputation of the practice. With strong communication skills, a commitment to continuous learning, and enthusiasm for the latest advancements in optometry and personalized treatment plans, you’re ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and the broader community.
