Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of technical experience in Hardware Quality, Reliability, Product Engineering, or a similar role focused on Optical or Opto-mechanical Module products.
8 years of experience managing quality engineers (e.g., reliability, failure analysis, supplier quality, production quality etc), and leading cross-functional teams to manage quality improvements for failure modes.
5 years of technical leadership managing quality strategy, stakeholder management, and executive communication.
Experience in a customer-facing quality role, managing escalations for technical issues.
Ability to travel as required.
Preferred qualifications:
Master"s in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or a related field.
15 years of experience managing end-to-end product quality and reliability in consumer electronics.
10 years of team management experience in the consumer electronics space for opto-mechanical modules (e.g., display, camera, LED) and experience building teams and organizations.
5 years of experience in engaging with customers, ODMs, module integrators, and component suppliers worldwide and guiding proactive quality improvement initiatives.
Experience managing and implementing structured problem-solving and quality enhancement methodology including 8D, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)).
About the job
As an Opto-Mechanical Module Quality Lead, you will own the strategic direction and execution of quality initiatives across the product life-cycle for the modules in XR Glasses, like Display Sub-systems, Camera Modules etc. You will drive Quality and Excellence (Q&E) improvements for the opto-mechanical modules in XR Glasses, shaping long-term strategy, and influencing stakeholders both internally and externally. This role requires technical expertise in opto-mechanical module quality and cross-functional leadership. You will lead a team of quality engineers and collaborate extensively with cross-functional partners in Development (XR Hardware Engineering, Software), Manufacturing and Operations to embed quality into the opto-mechanical module life-cycle for Glasses. In this role, you will manage customer and supplier/partner interactions to drive proactive, exceptional quality.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $236000 - $329000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
Build, and manage a high-performing technical Quality organization, including ensuring the right capabilities are in place to support a complex, innovative opto-mechanical module technology, both internally and at suppliers/partners.
Develop and own the Opto-Mechanical Module for XR Glasses Quality roadmap and strategic targets, both short-term and long-term, with the cross-functional management team.
Collaborate with the Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier and Partner teams to guide Design for Quality and ensure built-in quality of the product.
Manage technical and organizational quality risk management initiatives across the product life-cycle, including managing root cause and reduction in customer return rates.
Manage customer interactions and collaborate with product engineering, field application, Hardware Engineering and other teams to understand customer issues, facilitate corrective actions and implement lessons learned.
