Opto-Mechanical Engineer Semiconductor R&D

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Opto-Mechanical Engineer to join a leading team in the semiconductor and precision optics industry. In this role, you will design, test, and launch next-generation metrology and precision optical systems, working with lasers, optics, fiber optics, and advanced mechanical assemblies.

What Youll Do

• Design and develop precision opto-mechanical systems.
• Lead projects from concept and prototype through to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in optics, lasers, and electronics.
• Apply CAD/FEA tools (NX, ANSYS) to deliver high-performance designs.

What Were Looking For

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or related field (MS/PhD preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in precision mechanical or opto-mechanical design.
• Background in kinematic design, vacuum systems, adhesives, or precision machining.
• Experience with lasers, interferometers, or optical systems strongly desired.
• Familiarity with optical design software (Zemax, FRED) a plus.
