At the Bozeman facility, precision laser systems are built to support defense, aerospace, and high-tech industries. As an Opto-Mechanical Assembly Technician, you'll work hands-on with advanced optical components, helping to assemble and align laser subassemblies that power mission-critical technologies. Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and align complex laser sub-assemblies following detailed instructions
  • Work with precision optics, microscopes, and electronic test equipment
  • Operate lasers and calibration tools to support active alignment
  • Clean optics to laser-grade finish using chemicals and adhesives
  • Create and update production documents and work instructions
  • Support new product builds and process development
  • Assist teammates with techniques and troubleshooting
  • Occasionally work in a Class 1000 Cleanroom environment
  • Contribute to a high-quality, safety-focused production culture

Required Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely with lasers and high-voltage equipment

Preferred Skills

  • 2 3 years of experience in manufacturing or laser module assembly
  • Experience in electronics, aerospace, or high-tech industries
  • Prior work with solid-state diode-pumped lasers
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, network navigation)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (Required)
