What You’ll Do 

Help Patients Find the Right Eyewear 

  • Guide patients in selecting frames and lenses based on their prescription, lifestyle, and preferences
  • Explain doctor recommendations, lens options, features, and benefits in an easy-to-understand way
  • Help patients find eyewear that fits their needs, style, and budget
  • Educate patients on proper eyewear care and use

Manage Orders from Start to Finish 

  • Accurately enter and manage spectacle orders
  • Verify insurance eligibility and calculate patient co-pays
  • Track orders and communicate updates to patients
  • Notify patients when eyewear is ready and coordinate dispensing
  • Follow up with patients to ensure satisfaction and successful adaptation

Fit, Adjust, and Troubleshoot 

  •  Perform eyewear fittings and adjustments
  • Complete minor repairs as needed
  • Listen to patient concerns and help resolve eyewear-related issues

Keep the Optical Area Running Smoothly 

  •  Maintain accurate inventory of frames, lenses, and optical supplies
  • Create and maintain organized, attractive eyewear displays
  • Support efficient patient flow and communicate delays when needed

Be a Team Player 

  •  Collaborate with doctors, providers, and team members to create a seamless patient experience
  • Step in and support the practice wherever needed

Work Environment & Physical Requirements 

This position is based in a professional medical office and includes a combination of standing, walking, and hands-on work. The role requires strong visual attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift light materials, generally up to 15 pounds.
