Traveling Telecom Transport Installation Technician (Level 3 & Level 4)
Broadstaff is seeking experienced Telecom Transport Installation Technicians for nationwide deployment projects supporting carrier, enterprise, and data center network infrastructure.

If you have experience with DWDM, Ciena, Infinera, fiber optics, central office installations, transport networks, commissioning, and turn-up activities, we want to hear from you.
Pay
Level 3: Up to $32.50/hr

Level 4: $35 - $38/hr

Per Diem Available

Nationwide Travel Projects
What You'll Be Doing
  • Install, remove, and modify telecom transport equipment
  • Rack and stack network hardware
  • Install and route fiber and copper cabling
  • Perform fiber testing and troubleshooting
  • Conduct equipment commissioning and turn-up activities
  • Execute circuit migrations and network modifications
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation
  • Work within Central Offices (COs), data centers, transport huts, and colocation facilities
  • Complete project documentation, MOPs, and quality reports
  • Support customer acceptance and project closeout activities
Required Experience Level 3 Technicians
  • 2+ years of telecom installation experience
  • Experience working in Central Offices, data centers, or carrier environments
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and installation documentation
  • Experience with fiber optic installations and testing
Level 4 Technicians
  • 5+ years of telecom transport installation experience
  • Experience leading installation projects and crews
  • Experience working on active network equipment and live circuits
  • Transport equipment turn-up and commissioning experience
  • Experience with power transition and network migration activities preferred

  • Ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
