Job Description
We are seeking an Operations Specialist - Trade Management to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in securities trade processing, instruction management, and reconciliation, and a proven ability to identify and resolve market-related issues to improve straight-through processing and client experience.
Responsibilities:
- Enter client trades sent to the firm, including STP trades, automated trades requiring repair, and fully manual rekey entries.
- Authenticate, confirm, and distribute faxed trades received by the bank.
- Perform edit checks on electronic trades; route items with missing, incomplete, inconsistent, or poorly formatted data to repair for research and resolution.
- Re-key faxed trade tickets into GTPS and process complex or client-specific instructions.
- Verify information under dual controls prior to release to internal teams and to market.
- Escalate known or potential issues to management and resolve transaction-related problems using established procedures and client documentation.
- Analyze trends in instruction content and format against market standards to drive increased STP and improve client outcomes.
- Communicate instruction-related issues and expected resolutions to clients in a clear and professional manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Aptitude for analytical thinking and problem resolution.
- Self-starter with objective orientation and the ability to execute with limited direction.
- Effective time management to meet deadlines; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Attention to detail and a strong desire to learn.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives.
- Experience with ETFs and/or Transfer Agency operations, including ETF create/redeem order management, collateral management, and ETF corporate action event management.
Work Schedule & Terms:
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
- Weekly hours: 40.
- Expected term: 6 months. Temp-to-perm is possible.
