OPS Simulation Technician

Tallahassee State College is excited to announce a part-time opening for the position of OPS Simulation Technician in our Ghazvini Healthcare Center. We're looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant campus community.

What You'll Do

As an OPS Simulation Technician, you'll play a key role in implementing simulation training designed to enhance student learning and promote safety and quality in healthcare.

The day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with setting up and cleaning up of simulation environment prior and after the simulation sessions.

  • Assisting in programming simulators and running simulation equipment during simulations including computer hardware, props, EHR, human patient simulators and audio-visual systems.

  • Developing technical proficiency with all aspects of operation, maintenance support, trouble shooting and repair for all equipment.

  • Coordinating transport of simulation equipment, as necessary. Conducting inventory of supplies.

  • Assisting with data entry for various record keeping. Create moulage and any other needed materials for the simulation sessions as outlined in the scenarios' checklists. Any other duties as assigned by Director.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.

  • One (1) year of experience with the use of high-fidelity human patient simulators, multimedia equipment, and experience with a variety of medical equipment.

  • Computer proficiency in PC and Mac-based software applications is also a plus.

HOURS: 25 hours per week, Monday - Friday with the occasional evening and/or weekend required. (See specific details in Additional Job Description)
