MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be fluent in the English language: reading, writing, speaking
  • Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays if needed
  • Must have basic computer skills, including in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word)
  • Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not limited to, a Level II background check and drug test

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a health care setting
  • One (1) year of experience in a health care setting in a business office setting
  • Experience working in a nursing home or long-term care/120-bed skilled nursing facility
  • Experience working in a Medical A/R; Medicaid/Medicare eligibility and insurance processes

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The incumbent works under the supervision of the Social Work Services Program Manager.

  • Interviews residents, reviews records, and confers with other professionals to assist with financial needs
  • Demonstrate strong auditing, investigative, research, and organizational skills, as well as having up-to-date knowledge of the Florida Medicaid program and be able to accurately apply software programs needed to complete investigations and audits
  • Process information with HMO or third-party insurance for Medicare and Medicaid
  • Assist in the admissions process as needed
  • Provide tours to the facility for prospective residents and families
  • Assist in application process for new admissions
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned

This is an OPS (Temporary) Position.
