Job Description:
This is a temporary OPS position at the University of Florida. Work schedule and hours may vary based on operational needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the Facility Manager with daily operational tasks and building support activities
- Help with office, lab, classroom, and event space setup or breakdown
- Assist with furniture moves and light equipment relocation
- Support coordination of work orders and basic facilities requests
- Help monitor supply inventory and assist with restocking facility materials
- Perform routine walkthroughs of building areas and report issues or maintenance needs
- Provide logistical support for special events, meetings, or departmental activities
- Assist with general organizational tasks related to building operations and storage areas
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Expected Salary:
$14 per hour
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and move materials up to approximately 25-40 pounds
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
- Experience assisting with facilities operations, building support, or maintenance coordination
- Familiarity with university or museum environments
- Basic problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks
