    Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Assistant to join our busy practice.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Gather and document patients' medical and eye history using the EHR system.
    • Prepare examination and treatment rooms for patient visits.
    • Perform pre-exam screenings and diagnostic tests (training provided), including:
    • Visual acuity and color vision testing
    • Auto-lensometry and autorefraction
    • Tonometry, Amsler grid, and pupil evaluation
    • Additional testing as required
    • Assist physicians during minor procedures as needed.
    • Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic and surgical instruments (training provided).
    • Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Strong customer service skills with a patient-first mindset.
    • Ability to work proactively, communicate effectively, and collaborate with team members.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
    • Receptive to learning new skills and adapting to change.
    • Prior medical or ophthalmic experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

    Education & Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Medical or ophthalmic experience preferred but not required.
