    Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 2 of the most recent 4 years’ experience as an Ophthalmic Tech

    Licensure/Registration/Certification:

     

    One of the following:

    • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology
    • Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology
    • Certified Paraoptometric Technician (CPOT) by the American Optometric Association’s Commission on Paraoptometric Certification (CPC)
     
    Responsibilities:

    Provides medical and administrative assistance to Ophthalmologist/Physicians in a clinical setting. Performs ophthalmic duties and exams. Trains technicians and assists in the coordination of daily operations to ensure an efficient patient flow. Performs testing as requested by the physician.
