One of the following:
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology
- Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology
- Certified Paraoptometric Technician (CPOT) by the American Optometric Association’s Commission on Paraoptometric Certification (CPC)
Responsibilities:
Provides medical and administrative assistance to Ophthalmologist/Physicians in a clinical setting. Performs ophthalmic duties and exams. Trains technicians and assists in the coordination of daily operations to ensure an efficient patient flow. Performs testing as requested by the physician.
