Immediately hiring a Night Shift Trainer for a supplier on the southside of San Antonio. The Night Shift Trainer's will be responsible for training, certifying, and evaluating employees who operate powered industrial trucks. Duties:
Classroom instruction (safety rules, load handling, stability principles, OSHA standards) Hands-on training (operating the equipment in real plant conditions) Evaluate operators’ skills Certify employees to operate specific types of trucks Re-certify operators (required at least every 3 years per OSHA, or sooner if there’s an accident or unsafe operation) Keep training records and documentation Update training when equipment or workplace conditions change Train new hire team members following the Safety Orientation /Training Plan Coordinate training with Operations Management and Staffing Agencies Train New Team members on production manufacturing lines and warehouse when applicable. Support safety program (audits, observations, etc.) Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience as a Power Industrial Truck trainer or skilled operator preferred. Must have strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills. Must have good attendance, performance, and safety record. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must be able to use computers, scanners, and related equipment. Must have excellent problem-solving skills. Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds. Requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on operational demands.
