Location: 3502 Olive Road, South Bend, IN 46628
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Position Overview
A-Line Staffing is now hiring Sanitation & Production Workers in South Bend, Indiana!
We are looking for dependable, motivated individuals to support both production line operations and sanitation activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for assisting with packaging, product handling, equipment cleaning, and maintaining a safe and sanitary workplace.
The ideal candidate is flexible, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable moving between production and sanitation responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Operate and assist with packaging line activities, including product handling, labeling, weighing, sealing, and palletizing.
- Assist with product changeovers and staging materials.
- Clean production lines and work areas to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine sanitation duties, including cleaning equipment, tools, and production areas.
- Follow food safety standards, sanitation schedules, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor product quality and report concerns to supervisors.
- Safely handle cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment.
- Maintain accurate production and sanitation documentation.
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles to move materials.
- Work with team members to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous forklift experience required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg (approximately 55 lbs).
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in varying temperature environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to transition between production and sanitation duties.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous food manufacturing experience.
- Production or packaging line experience.
- Industrial sanitation or cleaning experience.
- Experience operating powered industrial vehicles.
