About the Role:1st Precision Grading LLC is looking for a skilled and dependable Operator/Foreman to join our growing team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll drive projects forward, lead crews in the field, and deliver high-quality grading work that clients can count on. Responsibilities:- Operate heavy equipment including graders, scrapers, excavators, and compactors on grading and site prep projects
- Supervise and direct field crew members to ensure safe, efficient, and on-schedule project completion
- Read and interpret grading plans, site maps, and construction documents
- Monitor grade elevations and ensure work meets project specifications and tolerances
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors on daily operations
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Enforce jobsite safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
Requirements:- 3+ years of experience operating heavy grading or earthwork equipment
- Prior foreman or crew lead experience in grading, excavation, or site development
- Ability to read and interpret civil grading plans and blueprints
- Strong knowledge of grade checking, drainage, and compaction standards
- Valid driver's license; CDL a plus
- Familiarity with GPS/machine control systems preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a safety-first mindset
