Join our hatchery team and play a vital role in supporting healthy poultry production. In this hands-on position, you'll be responsible for the vaccination of hatching eggs using Embrex equipment, maintaining sanitation standards, monitoring hatchery machinery, and ensuring vaccines are prepared and administered according to established procedures. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to biosecurity protocols, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Vaccinate eggs designated for broiler farms using Embrex vaccination equipment.
• Prepare and mix vaccines according to established procedures and maintain proper vaccine storage requirements.
• Perform routine sanitation of the laboratory, work areas, and Embrex equipment.
• Monitor Embrex, incubator, and hatcher equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of Embrex machinery and report unresolved issues to the Embrex Service Technician.
• Maintain accurate records related to vaccine preparation, equipment performance, and sanitation activities.
• Follow all company safety, biosecurity, animal welfare, and quality assurance standards.
• Assist with continuous improvement efforts and support hatchery production goals.
• Pad boxes and perform other related duties as assigned to support production demands.

What You'll Need

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Previous hatchery, poultry, agricultural, manufacturing, or equipment operation experience is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Ability to follow vaccine mixing procedures and vaccine storage requirements •Ability to operate computerized equipment and machinery •Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to follow written and verbal instructions •Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Continuous standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, stretching, and reaching.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to safely perform physical tasks required to support hatchery operations.

Work Environment

• Regular exposure to wet and humid conditions.
• Frequent interaction with moving mechanical equipment.
• Work environment is typically loud and requires adherence to all safety and biosecurity requirements.
