Experience, License and Certification: Must possess and maintain a valid New Jersey driver's license. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B is required. CDL Class A is preferred.
Operator/Driver I - Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in collection system operations and maintenance is required. A New Jersey Collection System C2 license is required (or must be actively pursuing a C2 License*). A Wastewater Treatment S1 license is preferred. A NJDOT Certified Traffic Control Coordinator certification is required.
*Actively pursuing is defined as taking the associated State license exam at least two (2) times per year until the license is obtained.

Physical Demands: Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation to ensure the health and safety of oneself and others are maintained. Must understand both the occupational hazards involved in, along with the safety precautions that need to be exercised in, the conveyance of wastewater. Must be able to retain technical information. Mechanical and problem-solving aptitude, as well as computer literacy, are required. Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand English sufficiently to perform the functions of the position and execute verbal and written directions.
